What's new with the clinic today?
Greetings patients and visitors of the Hand and Upper Limb Clinic,
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are currently practicing ethical decision-making to enable the clinic to continue to function, although at a responsible level. Our primary goals here at the clinic include health promotion and injury/disease prevention, therefore the protection of our most at-risk patients is of great importance to us. A few of the measures you will see implemented during the pandemic are: limiting the number of patients in-clinic to 5, sterilizing all equipment (eg. beds, doorknobs, exercise balls, etc…) and high-touch surfaces, and screening all patients who have traveled abroad or, who may be exhibiting symptoms of the virus. Our dedicated staff will be updated daily to ensure we are communicating the same, evidence-based approach to everyone and are taking every reasonable precaution to keep us all safe.
If you have had surgery or an injury which requires our services we ask you to call rather than come into the clinic to book an appointment. We will be screening all patients over the phone or via email, prior to allowing entry into the clinic.
Stay safe, and please, listen to the advice given to you to prevent the spread of the virus.
