Occupational Therapy vs. Physiotherapy

Occupational therapists and physiotherapists are both Master’s Level, College regulated healthcare professionals who work at the Hand-Upper Limb Clinic. Both providers are equally skilled and trained specifically for hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder injuries/ disorders. Our certified hand therapist is an occupational therapist with 25 years of experience in this field. Our two physiotherapists have specific training as well in hand and upper limb rehabilitation.

When checking on your insurance coverage, make sure that either physiotherapy and/ or occupational therapy is listed as a reimbursable service. Insurance policies have limits and restrictions on what you can claim. If you are still not sure, just ask our front desk for help.

A doctor’s referral is suggested but not necessary to book an assessment at our clinic.
